I, (bride/groom), take you (bride/groom) to be my lawfully wedded (husband/wife) for richer for poorer, and sickness and in health, to love, honor and cherish from this day forward, ’til death do we part.
This is the traditional wedding vow. We have heard it so many times in the movies that we have memorized it. Now, before you actually walk down the aisle, is the time to think about it and be very sure that you’ll say it and mean it.
Many of us have experienced the sorrow of being in a family where a loved one’s marriage has failed. We swear that our marriage will be different, that divorce will never happen. Here are some things to think about to help you be sure that it’s time to say, “I do.”
Can you live with his habits? Things like does he pick his nose? Will you still want to be with him if his snoring keeps you awake every night? Can you stand the fact that he may only take a bath once a week if he feels like it? How about the way he eats?
Think about your values. Look at the way you each feel about time, kids, family and work. If there’s a conflict in schedule involving you and your future mother-in-law, which way would he go? Can you live with your differences? Can you come to a working compromise if you can’t agree?
They say love conquers all, and this may be true. It will help though if you go into it with your eyes truly open. The Beatle’s sung it right: “Will you still need him, will you still love him when he’s 64?”

A bride looks her best on her wedding day. Every woman is transformed into a lovely vision on her wedding day. She becomes the cynosure of all eyes and no one can stop talking about ‘Oh! What a lovely bride she makes.’ ‘She looks so beautiful today, she reminds me so much of how her mother looked at her wedding.’
As much as we would love to believe, it isn’t magic that transforms even ordinary looking women into a princess for their wedding ceremony and reception. There is a team of people working to help the bride look her best and one among the team is a person called a bridesmaid.
A bridesmaid is a woman who attends to a bride on the day of her nuptials. She is with her constantly, helping soothe frazzled nerves and whisper words of encouragement.
As the bride walks down the aisle towards a new life, it is her maid of honor and bridesmaids at her side, ready to anticipate even her smallest need and ensure that all goes well.
It goes without saying that a bridesmaid should also get something in return for all her efforts. A small token of appreciation would go a long way in making her feel special and thanked.
TIPS TO HELP SELECT BRIDESMAID GIFTS
Get Personalized – This is probably the one time your bridesmaid would not mind you asking her personal questions. Try getting to know her likes and dislikes. That will help you in making her gift something personal, something she would always treasure. Also, personalized gifts make your token of appreciation unique. For example, gifts like monogrammed cosmetic or travel bags, or inscribed gifts such as tote or spa bags make perfect bridesmaid gifts.
Keep Sufficient Time – Bridesmaid gifts are not something you can get at the last minute, it should be planned well in advance. Devote sufficient time to the planning and buying of the gifts, this will help make it even more special.
Do Your Research Well – With the advent of the internet, it is possible to choose an appropriate gift for your bridesmaid, in the comfort of your own home. Make the effort to do research on the internet, so that you can explore all the possible options.
Get Creative – A bridesmaid is usually someone you know closely and you would want her to cherish the memory of your wedding and the gift you give her for the rest of her life. If you have sufficient time and are a creative person, put your creativity to work and come up with a unique gift she is sure to treasure. But remember – planning is of the essence. Ensure adequate time and resources for this – it’s a project on its own.
Bridesmaid gifts range from tote bags, to monogrammed jewelry bags, to photo CD cases, to manicure sets, to travel bags, to a whole variety of things. But remember – more than the gift, the feeling with which it is given will go a long way. So put in that extra effort, go that extra mile – the look on your bridesmaid face when she receives a personalized and unique gift – will make you feel even more special on your special day.

Tuxedo formal wear suits are available for your purchase and for your rental needs. Who is going to be purchasing or wearing a tuxedo in the coming months? If you are off to a formal wedding or if you are heading off the to prom you most likely are going to need a tuxedo formal wear suit that is going to make you look your best while you are out on the go.
Going out on the town for a splashy evening meal with a hot date, you can look your best in a tuxedo. She may not expect you to be so dressed, but the ultimate effect is one that will give you an appeal that she just can’t refuse.
A tuxedo formal wear occasion is any occasion that you feel you need to dress up for. When a regular suit, and tie are just not going to cut it. Get in to the social world by dressing the part, and this will include a tuxedo that is tailored to fit your personal size and your personal preferences.
A tuxedo can include the use of a shirt that has ruffles on the front of it or it could be that the shirt is flat on the front. The tuxedo shirt is going to be stiff, with the smaller corners of the front of the shirt ironed so they fit nicely over the jacket.
The cummerbund is going to be a color of your choosing. You can keep a wide stock of cummerbunds in your closet if you wear tuxedos quite often, and you want to match what ever your date or your wife is wearing. Tuxedos their selves are also found in different colors, ranging from shades of black, to blue and even white. White tuxedoes are hard to care for because they can get so dirty but there are those special occasions that are going to call for white.
If you are getting ready to go out on a date with a star you most likely are going to need tuxedo formal wear. If you are getting married, if you are in the wedding party or if you are parents of the bride and groom chances are you need a tuxedo as well. A tuxedo is worn to the prom, to the special ball, to the sweet sixteen parties you are going to attend, and to the bar mitzvah and the special holiday occasions that you will be planning for family. Take a look at the many sizes, shapes, colors and the types of tuxedos you can rent, purchase or consider now.

In keeping with wedding tradition, the bride and groom give gifts to their bridal party to say thank you for their involvement in the celebrations. These gifts are then presented to the party at the wedding reception. But, who do you have to buy for and what do you buy?
Well, gifts are usually purchased for the parents of the bride and groom, the best man, bridesmaids, ushers, pageboys and anyone else who has had a significant input to your special day. Generally speaking these are bought and paid for by the groom!
Of course, each society and culture handles their gift giving differently and your decision should be your own and dependent upon your own preferences, religious and cultural beliefs.
When it comes to giving gifts to the children, it’s always nice to give them something special to keep however, little ones are generally more appreciative of something edible. Many brides choose to give children [young bridesmaids, flowergirls, page boys, ring bearers etc] something nice to eat or a small toy to play with on the day, and then a small keepsake of the day. This may be in the form of an engraved box, a piece of jewellery, a personalised photo album, a personalised teddy or special book.
With older bridesmaids, jewellery is again a suitable choice or perhaps an engraved box in which to keep jewellery. More traditional brides will choose jewellery where more modern couples give bridesmaids engraved compact mirrors, lipstick cases or an engraved glass gift. There is no structured protocol with these items although it is a generally held belief that brides should give some sort of keepsake as a memento of the day.
Male bridal party gifts are sometimes more difficult depending on the age of the man in question. Again, silverware is a usual choice whether this is a personalised tankard, a silver hipflask, a bottle stopper or a boxed set of cufflinks. Some brides will give a best man or usher an engraved pen, a personalised paperweight or even a personalised chocolate plaque.
When it comes to the parents, many brides choose gifts for the couple as a unit. For example, an engraved photo frame or glass vase is an ever-popular choice. Sometimes this is difficult, especially if parents are divorced, widowed or remarried. Of course, this will need to be considered when a gift is selected and there is no reason why you couldn’t choose separate gifts for each individual. If silverware or glassware is not suitable, a hand tied bouquet of flowers and a respectably sized box of chocolates always go down a treat!
Whatever you choose, remember that it does not have to be a lavish extravagance but a small well-chosen token to thank everyone for being fundamental to a happy and successful day.
